Background

Gary D. Huggins has practiced law since 2005. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the University of Central Florida and worked in banking, commercial real estate and business development before law school. He earned his J.D. in 2004 from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, where he served as editor-in-chief of the law review for legal ethics. He was admitted to practice in Maryland in 2005 and joined the State Bar of Georgia in 2023, the year he opened his Atlanta practice, Huggins Accident Injury Lawyer, in Perimeter Center.

His practice has ranged from personal injury representation to pro bono work, bankruptcy and foreclosure defense, and civil-rights matters, including authoring friend-of-the-court briefs to the U.S. Supreme Court. As an adoptive parent, he helped expose an international adoption fraud scheme and represented families it harmed. Today his Georgia practice is focused on people hurt in car, truck, motorcycle, rideshare, pedestrian and bicycle crashes and on families who have lost someone. He speaks Spanish.
